The Regional Database Germany ("Regionaldatenbank Deutschland") provides detailed statistical data for various official statistics in the form of standard tables. These continuously updated tables are based on the Regional Statistical Data Catalog of the Federal Statistical Office and the statistical offices ot the Länder (German only). They are customizable in structure and storable in different file formats. The retrieval and use of data, as well as the registration to the database are completely free of charge. Our newsletter service informs you of any new data. Corrections to previously published data are documented in the list "Revised data" (German only). Registered users have access to additional functions .
See "Links" in the top navigation bar to find the common statistics portal of the Federal Statistical Office and the statistical offices of the Länder (“ Statistik-Portal”). It offers official basic data and further common publications for the Federal Republic of Germany and its Länder. Other links lead to specific information systems of selected Länder and to the Regional Atlas Germany (“Regionalatlas Deutschland”). The last mentioned offers regional mapping services for more than 140 statistical indicators covering a variety of themes.

[23.02.2016] Adaptation of Commuter tables due to definition changes
After a revision of the Federal Employment Agency, the definition of employees who are subject to compulsory social insurance – regarding the federal results only - now includes those employees, who cannot be allocated to a place of residence or work. Since this definition is not applicable for the federal results of the Commuter tables (table codes 254-14, 254-30 and 254-39), these data will not be published until further notice. The regional results remain unchanged.
[28.09.2015] Adaptation of thematic allocations in the financial statistics
To comply with EU requirements the following thematic allocation is changed in the Regional Database Germany:
The previous code 71137 „Municipal results of quarterly cash statistics“ becomes the new code 71517 „Municipal results of quarterly cash statistics“.
The tables and content offered remain unchanged.

[09.01.2015] Implementation of an open data licence
The contents of the Regional Database Germany are now available under the "Data licence Germany - attribution - version 2.0 (dl-de/by-2-0)". This open data licence serves to identify open government data in Germany. The customary use rights remain unrestricted.
